2023 Primitive Muzzleloader Lottery Procedures

 

All persons wanting to enter the Primitive Muzzleloader Lottery for any of the seven days must have:

• Completed Natural Resources Sportsman Safety Course
• Completed Annual Safety Brief Video via iSportsman
• Purchased Fort Sill Hunting or Hunting/Fishing Combo Permit (through iSportsman)
• Have weapon registered with VCC (FS Form 562)

 

Each permitted person must log-in and select the days they wish to enter the lottery. Open and close dates for each draw are listed in the table below. Lotteries will open at 0001 and close at 2359 on the respective dates.

When the lottery opens, users will login to their iSportsman account. Under “Acquire Permits”, you will select the specific hunt day(s) you want to enter, listed under “Lottery”.  Each lottery entry is free. You then proceed to checkout and confirm checkout. The system will send you an email confirming your entry into the lottery for the specific day(s) chosen.

All lottery entrants will receive an email for the specific day of entry, generated by the system:

• Successful – read your email carefully, as it will contain additional information regarding your hunt. It will direct you to go to B1458 on a specific day and time, as well as directions for receiving your hard pass for the range.
• Unsuccessful – you can continue to enter the elk archery lottery for all seven days.

 

Reminders

• Weapons restrictions are as described in FS 200-1
• All gun seasons have strict Blaze Orange Requirements
• There is NO GUEST HUNTING THE OPENING WEEKEND OF MUZZLELOADER SEASON
• You must check in via iSportsman before entering the range and check out once leaving the range. Failure to do so is a violation and may result in a suspended account.
• Lottery results will not be given over the phone.
• The electronic draw will occur in lieu of the parking lot draw – there will be NO in-person draw.

All persons wanting to enter the Elk Archery Lottery for any of the seven days must have:

• Completed Natural Resources Sportsman Safety Course
• Completed Annual Safety Brief Video via iSportsman
• Purchased Fort Sill Hunting or Hunting/Fishing Combo Permit (through iSportsman)
• Purchased Elk Eligibility Permit (through iSportsman)

 

Each permitted person must log-in and select the days they wish to enter the lottery. Open and close dates for each draw are listed in the table below. Lotteries will open at 0001 and close at 2359 on the respective dates.

• You MUST check-in to your hunting compartment the morning of your hunt and check out when you clear the range. Failure to do so may lead to a suspended account.
• There is a bag limit of 1 – if you harvest and you are entered for additional lotteries, you will be removed from those lotteries. You will receive an email from the system saying you are ineligible, and to call for an explanation.
• Lottery results will not be given over the phone – make sure your iSportsman account has your correct and current mobile number and email.
• This electronic draw system will occur in lieu of previous parking lot draws – lottery draws will only occur online.
